Copied mp3 file to sd card

I use the command line just as much as any linux or unix nerd but I just copied an mp3 file to an sd card using just the desktop. I downloaded a tune from Amazon and it was placed on my desktop. I then stuck an sd card into the PC and an icon for it appeared on the desktop after I chose the option to open it as a file system. I then dragged and dropped the mp3 icon to the sdcard icon and the deed was done. And people say linux is hard.
