Hi All,
I have been reading through "man fsck.ext3" trying to find out how
to get
fsck.ext3 to give me the progress bar (=============) like you get
when you system boots and does an fsck (shutdown -rF now), with no
joy. Is there a way to get this progress bar from the command prompt?
Many thanks,

fsck.ext3 doesn't seem to have the option, but when I checked my
bootscripts I found that it used the command:
fsck -C -T -R -A -a
The option "-C" is the one that gives the progress bar.
Have a look at:
man fsck
