Linux is a confused mess of beta quality software.

That was not true in 2003 - and certainly is not now.

Micro$hit-DOS and, or QDOS on which the earlier ones are based were and
still are crap, even today. Moreover, these basically were quick and
dirty workaround pieces of bad quality software made to fit on and
loadable from a small diskette and that said WinDOS, which still has its
roots in Micro$hit-DOS, though howsoever polished shall/can never beat
Unix.

The high-quality, efficient and honest programmers never hide their
works, but they feel proud to share it with others. As for as the
intellect is concerned these people know well what intellectual-property
value their works has and their rights, but they never cash upon it.

It is well known that the Unix was made by programmers, yes, the
programmers, the most genius persons of this world and for programmers
and the same is also true for Linux and all such systems which are
either derivatives works of Unix, re-implementations of Unix or based
Unix techniques, philosophy and, or policies.

Even a many many million times salute to all the creators, developers
and, or maintainers of Unix, FreeBSD, Linux and all Free/Libre Open
Source software projects, who are working hard, head to head and day and
night, seems too little to me.
