Once you have the guest OS booted up, check the Devices dropdown and
mount the CD/guestAdditions.iso.
Yeah, tried that before posting, no joy.
then you have to install from a terminal session
mount /dev/scd0 /media (or whatever)
cd /media (or whatever)
sudo sh ./VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run
Problem was, The drive apparently would not mount so I could not get
there.
Check the virtualbox docs/pdf available at virtualbox web site for
further details.
Yeah, I did this as well before posting which pretty much said to do the
above.
FWIW....the guest additions may not work with DSL (haven't personally
checked DSL out yet)....just did an VB Puppy linux install, a couple
of days ago, where the guest additions scripting barfed. The various
ubuntu flavours seem to work OK (just installed Fluxbuntu today and it
installed fine).
Yeah, I would think that I will need to get build-essential installed
before I can even try to get it working, but I could not even mount the
damn iso :(
I wish there was a Usenet group for DSL.
