The Dell Mini 9 can be ordered with Ubuntu Linux. I'm very happy with

the best overall hardware reviews nowadays, and
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NC10
explains how to install ubuntu (and I suppose I'll be able
to figure out similar procedures to dual boot slackware).
So I'm leaning towards the NC10, but haven't quite definitively
made up my mind yet. You're welcome (even encouraged) to try
to change it, in case I've overlooked something (wouldn't be the
