Probably 'q' but it depends on what pager you are using. The pager is
a program to show you the text that "man" generates. From what you wrote,
I think you may be using "more" for your pager, so "q" should work. If you
want to use a different pager, I would recommend "less" you can type
export MANPAGER=less
before you execute "man".
