In a similar vein, ripping a CD with KAudioCreater works flawlessly
whereas using a different ripper sometimes fails. I'm using Arch64 with
kernel 2.6.32 with an SATA drive.
Looks like a bug in UDEV:

It also affects DVD playback with Xine.
