App shrunk in size after being moved to SD card

After installing Dolphin Browser, I configured it to store the cache
on the SD card. At this point it consumed ~3mb, according to
Settings>Applications. Then I moved the app itself to the SD card,
and the reported size dropped to 2.1mb. Why?

I could understand if it remained the same, or if it had dropped to
zero (which would imply that the reported size is only internal
storage footprint). However, the size dropped to ~30%, so I have
trouble trusting the reported size.
