Hi there everyone. I have been reading this group for quite some time,
and seen a few articles about this, but I still have a few questions about
how to get my Belkin F5D6020 PCMCIA card working on my laptop. Here's
some base information:

My setup:
IBM ThinkPad T22
Debian (vanilla Woody install, upgraded to unstable)
Using 2.4.20 kernel image installed via apt.
Belkin F5D6020 PCMCIA WLAN card, version 2.101
Unfortunately, I don't know what the WAP is, since it is the University's
network and they won't tell me ;)

I have tried:
1. Using kernel modules orinoco, orinoco_cs, prism2_cs from my Debian
installed setup.
2. Compiling a 2.4.20-3 kernel with pcmcia and wlan support built-in.
3. Compiling a 2.4.20-3 kernel with most options supported via modules.
4. Using the atmelwlandriver.2.1.2.2 with all three kernels (won't compile)
5. Using the linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre9 drivers with all three kernels

Let me also add that all of my hardware works. I use all of it and the
wireless card works perfectly in Win2k.

Ok, here are my questions. First, has anyone else using Debian had
trouble getting the Atmel drivers to compile? I have heard that RedHat
users are able to compile them with no prob, but with Debian, the setup
script seems unable to find the correct headers, specifically
modversions.h, even when I point it to the correct location.

Secondly, I have been trying to get this to work for over a week now, and
I'm wondering if there is a driver in the standard kernel that will work
with this card, or if the atmel or wlan-ng drivers are my best bet? Would
it be more worth it to sell this card and get a "better supported" card?
If so, for all you Debian users out there, which card would you recommend
that would work fairly painlessly? TIA to anyone out there would can
answer a few of these questions.
