I don't know which printserver you have, but for my Linksys EFSP42
switch/printserver, I figured it out from NT instructions, before I
discovered that they had unix instructions on the Linksys CD. They
apparently do not "support" Unix printing (as in customer support of
setting it up on your end), but it doe handle lpd printing if you set
things up right.
For setting up my HPLJ4L on it, it was simply a matter of using YaST2
(SuSE) to set up a remote (network) printer with prefilter queue, for
either LPRng or cups. The prefilter queue automatically converts any
print data (including postscript) to PCL.
On one box I even forgot to set a remote queue name for it and it still
worked when by default it told the Linksys to use "lp" queue (mine has 8
logical queues L1-L8 for different configurations of the 2 printer ports,
but I only have L1 on it configured).
RedHat should have a printtool for configuring printers (not sure if it
only runs in X). Have you tried setting it up for network printer on
10.0.1.15 using p1 remote queue?
