I want to setup a vpn connection from my home to my office.
At home i have a normal linksys 4port wireless router that attaches to a
cable modem. This router/switch does not have vpn built into it.
I am using a windows xp pro workstation that is attached dirrectly to one
of the ports on the linksys router.
I also have a laptop at home that attaches to the router via wireless.
At the office I have a t1 connection coming into the building attaching to
a cisco router (that we do not manage) from this router it attaches to a
linksys befvp41 vpn 4 port router. This router then has one connection that
attaches to our main hub. The vpn router handles all dhcp and NAT, It has
the outside ip address.
How can I attach from home to work?
I have a red hat 7.3 server that i want to handle the authencation and to
make sure the connection is ok.
My question is can i do this? Do i need the red hat server, and if not how
do i handle security.
If this is the wrong newsgroup please point me in the right direction.
I have found doc's on how to do this using a windows 2000 server but would
rather use one of our linux servers.
