Hello,
My setup is mainly Solaris (Solaris 7, sparc), but I want to
integrate a linux machine, (Redhat 7.2) as a NIS client,
following the Linux NIS Howto (http://www.linux-nis.org/nis-howto/HOWTO/)
ypbind works and I can do
'ypcat passwd.byname'
which shows me the NIS users on my solaris NIS server,
however I cannot login with any of the NIS accounts.
Could it be that I have to configure something in the linux PAM?
I tried removing the shadow passwords and that didn't solve my problems.
I have glibc-2.2.4-13, ypbind-1.8-1, yp-tools-2.5-1
and use pam-0.75-14
Am I missing something?
Thanks
