    If you wan't to logon to windows domain from Linux box use smbpasswd utility
    smbpasswd -j domain -r server -U username%passwd

    If you wan't to enable samba server to authenticate windows machines like ads
    use /usr/share/doc/samba.../doc/htmldocs/Samba-Pdc-Howto.html
