I am puzzled by the term 'host'. Are you attempting to route IPs from an
outside internet host to your local system (source routing)? I doubt if
that would work without cooperation of your ISP, since their routers would
NOT know to route those IPs to you (especially if your IP is dynamic).

Also not sure what you are doing with aliases. Typically if you had a
netblock from your ISP, the netblock would be routed to your connecting
internet IP, and it is up to you to distribute them from there with your
routing. One potential mistake is having the wrong netmask for internet
interface, resulting in duplicate routes for subnet, and packets going the
wrong way from there (back out to internet).

For routing problems, the output of ifconfig and 'route -n' might allow
someone to help you fix it. But with incomplete info, we cannot even tell
exactly what you are trying to do.
