Hey pbs;

Thanx for this info, this is what we need.
At this moment we run edonkey2000 server on the router, and every user uses
edonkey to search/download files.
The problem is; putting all files on a central samba server makes you
download each file 'twice'. once to the samba server, and once to your local
computer.
And because our wireless network top-speed is about 600-700 kB, it still
takes some time with larger files copying it to your local drive...
So....... using this edonkey solves several problems;
1) Searching the whole local network
2) Showing all the software from your friends
3) resuming after network-timeout (Resuming is _not_ an option with M$
download,
and with apache on top of the files you still have to use some download
manager on the _windows_ client side, like getright or something like
that..)
The reason why I put this question to this newsgroup /dev/rob0 is because
our router runs RedHat, and takes care of all the routing problems /
download counters etc....
So I only assumed there had to be some guru's in here who could lead me to
my final solution :-)
Thank you all for your time!!!
Regards,
Marco Snoek
