Getting RH9 to remember NIS domainname after reboot

I have a line in my /etc/sysconfig/network saying "NISDOMAIN=hoth" and also a line in /etc/yp.conf showing "ypserver hoth"

However, after a reboot, if I try to run ypbind it tells me that the domainname is not set. What else am I missing to get RH9 to remember what domain it is in for NIS?
