Hi,

I had the LAN network set up this way..

From Linux box to hub then out to web via a cable attached to a PC XP
box using Internet Sharing.

I haven't touched Linux for a while as I have been away, now I have a
router that attached to the cable web modem and to the hub. The linux
box is still attached to that hub.

I use the GUI interface with Linux and I can't activate the network device.

For a start, what addresses do I need to use ?

Before when using the XP box to get top the cable modem I used it's
gateway address 192.168.168.1 I think it was. Addresses of the boxes
were DHCP.

I am quite confused now since I gt the router. BTW. All the PV boxes on
the hub get to the web fine using the router. It's just the Linix box I
am trying to attach.

Thanks

Rock
