Ethernet problems (MPC8xx with Linux)

Hello All,
This query is regarding Linux on MPC860/862.
I have configured the kernel to use SCC3 instead of SCC1 for ethernet.

I am getting the following error when I try to ping another machine.

NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
eth0: transmit timed out.
