I have an 4 Ppro CPU box (unisys) and I can't get
the DHCP to work on it. Does anyone now if
DHCP works with SMP boxes?

I have tried using PUMP and dhcpcd clients and they
just do not work. I have compared the DISCOVER
packet from the SMP box with one from Windows98
and a Sparc (both boxes do work with DHCP)
and the packets are the same. no diferences
expect for checksums and origination MAC address.

I have also tried with 4 different Ethernet
and no changes, the packet just goes but there
is no answer from the DHCP server.
I am using Cogeco Cable in Ontario.

Anyone?
