Hi Folks,
I would like to be able to run two, maybe more, ADSL connections from
my RH9 box for a load balancing application. Has anyone here ever
tried this?
After much head banging I have been able to achieve load balancing
over two external cable modems as described in the advanced routing
and traffic control document.
I would now like to attempt the same thing with ADSL, I have a single
Conexant ADSL modem working sucessfully using the sources from:-
http://patrick.spacesurfer.com/linux_conexant_pci_adsl.html
With two cards installed, and ppp0 up, doing an ifup-ppp1,
/var/log/messages tells me that device 0.0.38 is locked (no surprises
there).
I notice in the /network-scrips/ifcfg-ppp0 the MODEMPORT is set to
"0.0.38" corresponding to 0.vni.vci rather than a /dev/, or driver.
So how does one go about having more than one interface?
Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.
Jim
