I guess I should have mentioned that even though Red Hat 9 ships with a
2.4.x kernel, I used my own custom 2.6.x number in Red Hat with no problems.
(Well, I should say no problems with the modem.) The drivers
(http://www.linuxant.com) work with the 2.6.x kernel. I re-built the kernel
and modem driver module just to check, though.
