modem hang up after connection..

Hi!

After installation of debian woody(vanilla), I tried to connect to my
ISP ( still dial up ..) I used wvdial to connect to the Internet.
but it just hangs up after connection then tried to reconnect ...

My external modem is USRobotics Sportster flash.
My previous linux distro was Mandrake 8.0.
Mandrake set up internet connection during installation process and it
works fine. I have gone through some newsgroup posting but I still
haven't got a clue how to figure this out.
Does anyone know how to fix this matter?
