We've been using Sophos ( www.sophos.com ) for a couple of years now, and
I'm really pleased with it.  The price was reasonable - especially when you
compare it to Norton or McAffee ( about 1/2 to 2/3 the cost ). I think it
can do what you want it to.  We use it on a RH 7.3 mailserver and an NT PDC.
I think you could have your CIDS ( the directory nodes update from ) located
on the Linux PDC, while having your mgmnt console on a pc somewhere. When we
bought our contract, we get the whole package, including just about every
platform. That is not to say that they have a GUI for every platform, but
theres probably a solution for you. We also got a nice little remote update
package as well, for our roaming users....
