Linux version:
Red Hat Linux release 7.2 (Enigma)
Only the firewall/router is linux. All other are windows XP/98
Something wierd happens right now in my network.
I can use intranet, I can use internet.
Email software, outlook, work without any trouble.
Kazaa works on every workstation. (All are windows desktop)
Even Skype (Telephony over internet) work at 50% of his capability.
But, www.hotmail.com does not work! MSN Messenger does not work!
Everything else work almost flawless.
If i go to www.hotmail.com, the web page show the error DNS Error.
If i open msn messenger, "... problem with your internet connection. ...
0x81000370"
It seems there's a problem with either my network, internet (my ISP) or with
Hotmail/MSN.
It can be Hotmail/MSN, because it work everywhere else outside my network.
I'm using the same ISP at work and at home, and it work at home. So this can
only be my network.
2 days ago, my linux stop doing the routing. I restart it, and the routing
restart.
But there MSN does not work. So it seems there is something to do from my
router to allow MSN to connect. But i have no idea what is it.
If you have an idea of what's wrong, can you write me back?
Thanks a lot, it will make me very happy ;)
Bye,
Robert
