We really need to know exactly HOW you're configuring stuff, and we need to
know what you're entering.

Okay. So Samba client is up and running okay.

Can you mount these manually at the command line? Look up on Google how to
mount a samba share. IIRC it'll be something like
# mount -t smbfs //P6/SHARE /mnt/myserver -o
username=myusername,password=mypassword,rw
I suspect you're just misforming the command in LinNeighborhood, although
I've never heard of or used that program.

Hmmmm... telnet probably isn't activated on Fedora Core, unless you
deliberately activated it (if so, why?). Like most Unixes, it prefers SSH.
You can download Putty, an SSH client which will run on Windows. Try using
that. (Also, FWIW, you can telnet from Windows - just click Start/ Run and
then type telnet)
