I am trying to do a little bit traffic shaping with iproute2 and now I
want to analyse how it works. For this I want to log the used bandwith
over the time for either a certain destination ip / port or source ip /
port or for an user. At the end I need a list of time/bandwidth pairs to
create some graphs (bandwidth over time). My problem: I didn't found
any tool which creates such an output. All what I found creates a graph
or a value list of the totally used bandwidth but this doesn't help me.
For the monitoring I just will send some bulk traffic via scp or ftp,
therefore it would be enough if the client creates such a list or just
outputs the used / bandwidth. scp outputs the used bandwidth but I
cannot collect it since it prints the values on the same position.
Thanks,
Jürgen Jacob
