I guess I'm even more confused than ever. The only significance between
my and your IBMLAN.INI makes me wonder why yours works. You have
wrkservices = ,MESSENGER, but not PEER.

I tried a smb.conf based upon yours, but that didn't help:

        NET2758: The system cannot connect to the server.
        For more information, type HELP NET2758.

NET2758 is a USERID/PASSWORD mismatch.

I wasn't really interested in using OS/2 as client to a Linux samba
server, unless I cannot figure out why NFS for that purpose is not
working. It seems like there must be some other configuration files to
consider?
