I am a Linux newbie and have just installed RH9.0 into 5 of my PCs and there
are 5 more to go. All 5 PCs can access the internet by way of the router
gateway. The PCs were previously networked using Win98. I am
changing the OS to RH9.0 for all the PCs and only want to do a peer-to-peer
network. There is no server requirement. I have chosen the Gnome desktop.
Hostnames and IP addresses have been configured in all PCs although I don't
see a requirement for a workgroup name when doing a network configuration
setup .........or is there a workgroup name that I need to configure?
My question is........where is the Linux equivalent of a network
neighborhood or network places? I don't know where to find the machines ???
Help
