vlan in socket programming

hi all!

i am searching for information about vlan in socket programming.
i've found a lot of configuration-howtos but not only one snippet
showing how to get/set vlan-ids in a network-packet, and that is
exactly what i'm looking for!

would be thankful for any hints,
