Redhat 9 and winxp networking

    Hi!

    I have installed a pcmcia card in a my notebook running xp. Its showing
    100% connectivity with the Access point. I have a desktop running rh 9.
    It is hooked up with the access point ethernet straight cable. What I
    want to ask is, will the settings (ip address, subnet mask, dns,
    workgroup name and computer name)on rh 9 be the same as those on the xp
    notebook.
