Both pcs can ping each other.
firewall is disable on all devices including the router
while attempting to connect to xp shares, I quickly run out to the
desktop and type netstat
I can see my laptop ip address connecting to the smb ports on the xp.
it looks like the laptop is connecting to the xp box, but the data is
not being received.
i cant understand this being a routing issue as ping works both ways.
xp to linux box.. . linux to pc.
please note, everything works if the setup goes through the wire NiC.
if i just use the wireless and disable the wired eth0.. then it goes
down hill from there.
i also have a xp laptop. wireless. connecting via the same router. it
works just fine.
