I'm surprised nobody makes a PCI card that's equivalent to what every
cheap DSL/Cable router has. Basically, an Ethernet controller and a five or
six port single-chip 10/100 switch (such as the BCM5325). The switch does
vlan tagging, so you can separate the ports into whatever bridge groups you
need.
