Hi,
I am trying to configure [loose] source routing, to a server Russia. The
ISPs at both ends route their traffic through satellites by default. I
know a much quicker landline route to that location in Russia.
I have some experience setting up source routing to local nets and that's
working just great with iproute2 tables. But when I have no idea how to
accomplish this for remote hosts / nets.
When I try to add a route to the table x with nexthop via v.x.y.z etc. I
always get a no route to host error.

Does anyone know how do source routing to a remote host? Please give some
hints or tell me where I can find additional information concerning this
matter. I found several pages concerning source routing, but there are
only examples for local nets or networks that reside on the router's
interfaces. I want source routing for remote hosts.

Thanks in advance,
Sven
