On the server machine create a file called "exports" in /etc with something like this:
/data 192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0(sync,rw)

Hi all, I have an NFS-server and want to use it as backup storage. Unfortunately I cannot access it from my other computer, configured as an nfs-client. As root (on the client) I can see the NFS-server's files (the server's filesystem is mounted to a directory on the client), but I can not write to them. And as user on the client I can not even read the files. I have the same user names (and IDs) on the NFS-server and the client. How can I tell the server, that the client's users have write permissions on their directories on the server? (Actually, I have two users on the server, who should have their own directories).
I don't know if the following is related to the named problem, but I think so: I want to remote administrate the server from the client via krdc. But there cames no connection... (the network connection works, as I can see the remote filesystem, as mentioned above). I'd appreciate every hint! Thanks a lot, Richard
