correctly and I get alot of acpi fails in dmesg:However when I have acpi=off, my cpu speed does not get listed
Well, you are turning ACPI off. Why would you expect ACPI stuff to work?
This was a typo. I meant to say When I don't have acpi=off my cpu speed
does not get recognized correctly AND I get ACPI errors in dmesg..
which is why I set it to acpi=off. To make the errors go away and to
get '/proc/cpuinfo' to display the correct cpu speed.
