Hi,
I'm trying configure my new DI524 from my linux FC4 box and Firefox
1.5. I can get my ip assigned from it (192.168.0.100), but cannot
connect to it to configure it using 192.168.0.1.
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
HWADDR=00:30:18:B0:67:E6
ONBOOT=no
TYPE=Ethernet
cat /etc/sysconfig/network
NETWORKING=yes
HOSTNAME=pax
GATEWAY=192.168.0.1
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
Also tried with winxp and same results. Router lights are:
Status = blinking
WAN = flickering
WLan = blinking
Lan1 = flickering
Also, trying to connect to clearwire modem which works just fine
connected directly (with GATEWAY removed from above).
Is this the router's fault?
Yes. Reset the router and start again! The reset procedure (from my manual) is:
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
Step 4 Release the Reset button.
Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
Robert
Thanks.
