Yeah, you are right. I have changed it to 255.255.255.0...still doesn't
work. I think I am missing the gateway part.
You don't need a gateway to go between the two subnets 192.168.0.0/24 and
192.168.1.0/24. They are both directly connected and will automatically be
known by the routing. The default gateway is only needed to get to networks
that you don't know about e.g "the internet". List the route table after
you made the above change to make sure you got everything right.
