Obviously this is really inhibiting my switchover.
Might anyone have any tips or a walk-through handy that would help me
out in enabling this card on my computer?

Ndiswrapper may work for you. It did for me, when I setup my Acer Aspire
3002LCi laptop with FC4 (recently upgraded to FC5)
