Hello
Using an IP number the FTP enters the server of my homepage very well.
But using the internet adress the FTP fails. I think this is a problem
of missing files for DNS. The 'http' browser can handle
adresses without problems. I am running a Linux From Scratch.
Do you mean that www.nnnnnnn.zzz resolves but ftp.nnnnnnn.zzz doesn't? If
they both are supposed to resolve to the same IP address then just add
ftp.xyz.com as a CNAME alias on the DNS.
Sorry I meant ftp.nnnnnnn.zzz where the nnnnnnn.zzz is whatever you domain
name is.
Klazmon.
Hello
Sorry but there is no server on this computer. The Firebox browser has
a proxy configuration made by hand and the FTP is a simple one. Maybe
it is a missing term in
'/etc/hosts' or '/etc/resolv.conf' ?
