Hey folks,
Does anyone know why a T1 would be used over something like a cable
company's broadband access at 8Mbps.
1) the cable promises 'up to' 8, I'll bet.
2) cable is cool if you're the only dude in the neighborhood who has it.
All the folks in the vicinity are basically sharing 'one pipe'. When
everyone has it, it's pretty easy to bring it to it's knees. As I
understand, T1 like DSL is your own 'dedicated' pipe, so it doesn't matter
how many nearby neighbors use it.
