Newbie Questions

Business networking has always baffled me. Let's say I run my own
business. I have 50 to 100 computers. I need to make a network.

Bare minimum:

I need 1 router
1 webserver (for the public to see my site)
1 file server
1 switch

I've seen business setups with a proxy server, a hardware firewall, a
mail server, web server, etc.
I know that the proxy server keeps recent webpages to speed up user
requests. It also prevents some people from accessing certain sites.
However, I thought that the firewall could also do that. Can anyone
clear this up?
