The vnc server is running UltraVNC on the remote computer.

If it were a simple issue of using another server on the remote
computer, it would have already been done. But unfortunately I have to
work with an existing system.

There seems to be a difference with this RFB protocol?

The Remote Frame Buffer wasn't your problem; "Unknown security result from
server" was the issue.

Ok good point. This is another error message from a realvnc client.

I can access these machines when I run the UltraVNC web client or
running UltraVNC through wine.
So I'm not too sure what I should be looking for?


Firefox seems to work, however I would still prefer to run a client
not reliant on the web browser.
Is there a linux vnc-client that can connect to UltraVNC?

I've tried quite a few aleady.
Unfortunaly I hadent had any luck with any of them connecting to
UltraVNC.
