I did precisely :
1. Stop/Start/Status/Restart of the DNS server at
/etc/rc.d/init.d/named
2. Ensure : Domain Name DNS Type Domain IP Nameserver IP
Pointing

Result : nothing better.

Please post the results of " cat /etc/nsswitch.conf " with special attention
to the hosts line, which might resemble:

hosts: files dns
