Re: hosting a wireless access point

So to answer my questions, for simply running an AP, do I indeed need
host ap? And why does host ap only work with specific drivers?

I believe I've found the answer to my initial question. To run as an
access point, I only need to set my wireless interface to master mode
with iwconfig. I am still unclear as to what host ap does, and the
hostap's webpage is down.
