But I really wanted to connect my 1st system Linux with internet, any
how is it possible?

Can't you see that you ain't gave us any usefull information?

I've ask you several time to post your win2k settings...
ip, netmask, gateway, and dns... and you haven't done that yet.

we need to understand what type of working process your modem is running; is
it working as a router or is it working as a bridge?

go back to the solution i've presented before, because i forgot to tell you
to set DNS... i believe you are using a grafic tool to set up you ethernet
card, so go back to it and set:

ip = 192.168.1.2
netmask = 255.255.255.0
gateway = 192.168.1.1
dns = 192.168.1.1

this should work if your modem is working as a router
otherwise try this:

ip = automatic provided by DHCP
netmask = leave empty
gateway = leave empty
dns = automatic

this should work if your modem is working as a bridge.

if you find any option in that tool you don't understand, post it here and
we explain what it is...

anyway the better way to go is for you to provide usefull information about
the settings your win2k is using.

regards
