Squid Proxy configuration for Gmail POP

Hi,

Can anyone help me on how to configure Squid Proxy 2.5 to handle Gmail
POP.

At the moment, I get a message in my client that unable to find
pop.gmail.com

I suspect that it is the Squid proxy server that creates this problem
since when i connect to Internet directly.. everything seems to work
fine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
