Here is an excerpt from a Debian machine's /etc/modprobe.d/aliases file:

Fedora and Red Hat put the same info in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf.dist.
However, whatever your distro, if you're using anything other than a prehistoric modprobe, the info should be in some file in /etc/modprobe.d (or in /etc/modprobe.conf itself).
