    I found a very nice report on the Acer Aspire 1300XC:

    Although I don't know if there are any other differences between the
    1315LC and the 1300XC models apart form the size of the LCD screen and
    possibly the HD and the combo drive, I suppose they will be minor.

    I'm also willing to buy an Aspire or a TravelMate, but so far, I
    haven't had the chance to test them directly, specially to compare
    heat and noise issues.
