Hi,
I've just bought a Thinkpad R40e, with a Mobile Intel
Celeron processor 1.70GHz processor. I have a harddrive
that's about 30Gb, which I've partitioned into 10 for
windows and 20 for linux.
Here's the problem:
I've installed Mandrake 9.1 without problem, but I'd
prefer Red Hat. However, when I try to install Red Hat,
it gets stuck on the page where it asks whether it should
test the cd's.
This happens both with RH8 and with RH9. I've even tried the
beta RH9.0.93/9.1/10/severn, however you call it. In that case
I had to take the battery out to get it to shut down.
Anybody know what I should do, why it refuses to install RH?
I'm used to RH, and don't really feel like learning how to configure
the network and get my palm to work with Mandrake...
Hope someone can help,
Greetings,
Reinie.
