ADSL modem driver/configuration

Hi all,
I have an ADSL modem from Asus (6000UG) using with Belgacom ADSL
(Brussels, Belgium).
I have installed Mandrake 9.1.
The problem is I am not able to get my system recognize/configure the
ADSL modem.
Has anybody done it so far..
Is there something I am simply forgetting..
pls advice..
